In the same format as Bronx Masquerade, this book of poetry exposes the thoughts of 15 students in a high school in 1st person poems. The characters are flat stereotypes. But the voices are unique. The topic is the outcast who considers shooting up a school. Interesting, quick.

19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult
The circumstances surrounding a school shooting. Alternating chapters of past and present. 1st person perspective changes from character to character within each chapter. I read reviews and an excerpt from this book before it hit the stores and picked it up the weekend after its release. My anticipation was rewarded with a book that held my attention and wouldn't let me go. The author lists the different parents, teachers, students, admin, and legal people she interviewed surrounding different school shootings in the country.
